Will otter invade and active beaver den
« on: January 17, 2013, 04:10:20 PM »
My pond has ten beaver in it with just the one den now three otter showed up and was wonderign if the otter will bother the beaver much? I just did my exam and am dying for that card to show up. Once the card is in my hand can i just go to any licensed dealer for my trapping license or do i have to get it through olympia?

You need to call Olympia and make sure it is in the computer then you can go to Walmart or anywhere to get it. Make sure you call first

Otter will enter beaver houses all the time but they will not bother grown beaver.
If there really are 10 beaver I would bet money there is more then one den.
Do not get your license through Olympia. It will cost you an extra $105.
The Noob gave you some good advise.

Yes i did call dan boes today to try and get an idea as to how long it takes but i got an answering machine, I have no intention on trying to by a license till i know i can. And i had heard it was costly going through olympia but i read some where i had to. So any dealer works right? Sweet i seen in the regs it was only fourty one fifty. Well thanks for the advice guys probly saved me a pretty penny.
