Late Season Quail
« on: January 18, 2013, 10:24:00 PM »
I've been getting after them the last couple of weeks.  Two weeks ago, I couldn't miss and took home 7 with 11 shots.  Today not so much, with only two birds for 14 shots.  Same gun different day.

I didn't see anybody else and had a mocking rooster get up at my feet in open country.  I'm working this weekend, so this was my last go around with upland.  October is a long way off.

great way to end the season- classic gun, cool dog, and beautiful country with wild birds.

Nice work! Way to give 'em hell batman. Is that the 12 or the 20?  Were they flushing wild? Did you miss the rooster?

That is a 20,  roosters closed last week.  I'm guessing he knew that and gave me the best look at one I've had all year.

Fishnfowler, that third pic of your dog and the country behind it looks awfully familiar... looks good
