not to shabby of a day.
« on: January 19, 2013, 05:21:30 PM »
Low97ram and I met up with Vanderman17 to kill some ducks in the Othello area.

Lot and I mean lots of birds on the water and flying before first light and then they disappear  :dunno:

We did get a few and all total we are just short of a 2 man limit for 3 guys  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

My dog buddy was a trooper and did awesome, retrieved every bird and along with the ones that landed in the reeds on the ice. He sniffed them out like he knew what he was doing  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  If it wasnt for him, we would have lost a few birds.

Another thing that impressed me was Buddy was more interested in the ducks in the ddeks and the ones flying before first light then all the yotes yipping and howling around us

Some were, I bet as close as 60 yards from us.

Buddy has his 2 hardest retreives Friday. 1 through 3 ft of mud n water, only about 20 yrds. And the other was about 70 yrds that he couldn't see at first. He's so eager to get the birds it's funny.

Good times tho.  Thanks guys.
