I have no problem with taking longer shots if I'm comfortable in my affective range but the people that advertise making long shots and long shots only make me wonder something. And I know it can happen close up to but here is my question. How many shots do these hunters that take these kind of shots miss and wound these animals. It provides a much harder target to hit consistently and I think animals get wounded more often then they let be known. Don't get me wrong these were good shots and awesome footage and I don't just mean these people. I'm talking all long range shooters that make it a priority.
I love the video and best of the west videos I'm just saying hunters in general.
Me personally I like to be close but feel confident out to 400 if necessary and is not during a wind storm.
It just makes the hunt much more exciting.
Like my first bear was less than ten yards.
And during archery had a bear at 6 yards but did not take a shot because of the situation that occurred but was extremely exciting.
Shooters can take animals at all ranges
Hunters can get them close

It does get me excited for bear season though.
