That kinda sucks about the sedative. I guess if you want to make sure you have a good nights sleep you just cook up some cougar for dinner! What an awesome animal. I am soooo jealous!!!

Really nice tom, congratulations! I have some property up by Lake Bonaparte and have seen some big cougar tracks. He'll make a nice mount too.

Just curious; what do people do with the Cougar meat? Seems like a waste of wildlife to shoot something you won't eat. I like the idea of shooting them to help control the population thou. When I was a kid I use to shoot Cyotes and let them lay. Then I started questioning if that was very ethical? Since I have not shot a Cyote in years. I just let them pass. I don't want to try and skin one of those mangie things. Too me they are nothing more then a wild dog that is invested with flees and ticks. No thanks...
