cots
« on: September 25, 2008, 06:33:25 AM »
I just purchased a TentCot and I find it awesome. It is roomy & dry (with rain fly). It gets me off the ground, folds into a chair or lounge chair. It also folds up into a neat package that doesn't take up much space. I purchased mine for $169.00 with rainfly but not through Kamp-rite. Take a look if you are considering a cot.

Here is the link to Gander Mountain where I purchased mine. There is one size smaller and there is also a double.

Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

I bought one years ago when they were mostly being sent overseas to Iraq. Hard to get one then....

I like mine, have camped in it by itself on a few hunts, mostly nice weather hunts.....turkey...grouse...but took some rain in mine (no leaks...) on the grouse hunt. I use mine in my tent, everything is great, no blankets sliding off like on a traditional cot.

Only problem is not being able to sit on the cot at other times....

I placed a 2"foam pad in mine, even fold the tent cot up with the foam in place for easy storage...

Killbilly, There is a thread on cots in the General Gear list as well, that might be the one you were missing?
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
