Banded Blue Bill

got 2 limits of ducks and 4 geese this weekend and a Banded Blue Bill! hadn't seen one of those before. My first band so i was stoked. he's off to the taxidemist
. took out a young lad for his second ever duck trip. He had an absolute blast! after getting a limit of mostly pintails and mallards, dumped some nice big geese. the look on his face when they hit the water was priceless!

Cool!
In my younger, cooler, I only shoot mallard drake days, I passed on a pair of drake BB's that flew right past the point I was on. My younger brother dropped one and it was banded. I still wonder if that other one was wearing jewelry too...

My brother got a banded goldeneye this year and the info was never sent. He called it in and they said an email would be sent in five business days. Never came. Still waiting for my first band for duck or goose. Got a banded spruce grouse in okanogan a couple seasons ago. Had a red, a white, and a blue band.

Excellent.
You should be sure to cherish that experience because I would imagine unless you are very lucky you likely won't ever get another BlueBill band again.
Ever!
Congratulations.
