Need your Whitetail Doe Honeyhole
« on: September 20, 2008, 08:24:08 PM »
Ok, I admit it, I am begging for your Whitetail Doe Honeyhole to take my son to, to get his first deer.  :chuckle:

I am a Muley hunter, stick mostly to the center of the state, and plan to keep it that way.... I have hunted the NW corner just a few times around Chewelah for turkey, and in the Palouse when in college.

With the youth Whitey Doe hunt coming up, I keep looking at the NE corner for something to stick out to me, havent hit it yet.

If you know of a no-brainer whitey doe area, or know of a private property owner who may allow a doe only hunt for a youth, please send me a pm. I am open to most anywhere in the state. Thanks guys.

Won't see me beggin too much around here.

Bow or rifle?

There is a spot, just outside of winthrop if you're interested in going that way...I can guarantee he can bag a doe within the first hour. Let me know if your interested and I will PM the info.

This will be a youth rifle hunt to occur during the opening weekend of Modern rifle season.

Thanks Saylean, please send the info. I do appreciate it. Any other ideas folks may have are still desired.

Let me see if I can work him into our property in the Huckleberry.  I am sure we can find him a doe pretty easy.

Dekuma, that would be really great if you could steer us. Saylean has contacted me as well, but it looks like the area he had mentioned in not included in the youth doe hunt areas. (Thanks Saylean, great info...gracious offer)

Dekuma, let me now what you find out. I do appreciate the consideration.

I think 121 is a doe area for youth all through the season, isn't it?  (too lazy to look)
I can steer you to a few public areas near our property either way.  I will talk with my partner and see how he feels about helping a youth out and letting them hunt our private area and the surrounding.

121 is in the youth doe hunt....

Even if not on your special spot, I would really appreaciate a bit of steering for the unit public lands.  Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

I will start pulling public land boundaries on the unit....thanks.

Check the names and know who you are talking to!  :chuckle:

Yes, if hunting our property or the surrounding we have the hoist and the quad ready to roll.  If you have a trailer, I can hook you up next to mine with water and power as well.

Sorry to hijack, but can't resist asking. Got room for two more youths? My 11 year old passed this year and this will be my 15 year olds last chance on a doe without a special tag.

You are in prime whitetail area Gut.  Are you familiar with the 121 unit at all?
