SW Washington pointing dog training groups
« on: December 30, 2012, 12:27:52 PM »
Do any of you know of any groups that get together and train pointing dogs in the Vancouver/Portland area? For that matter, are there any field trial clubs active in the area? Looking for like minded people to run and train my Pointers with in the off season.

Thanks.

Not really but, check that banner that says blue moon kennels. He'd help ya out. :)

I just joined a group in the Rochester (Near Centralia) area that I'm pretty impressed with. Everyone trains there own dog with guidance from the leader.
Many of us travel 90-120 minutes to attend.
Give me a shout if you're interested.

Would that be the GSBDA you're training with?

One of the main clubs in the area is PortVan Pointing Dog club.  I've been a member there for years.  We used to hold our fun trials in Scappoose, but we now train at Vancouver Lake.  Drop me a pm for more info.
