Gotta Love Teal - Layout Blind Style
« on: January 24, 2013, 06:36:37 PM »
So the water has receded from the blinds so it was time. Finally I have a reason to buy myself a layout blind.(I wish it would have been 2 weeks ago when Cabelas had the sale oh well) I picked up the one that was recommended most by our fellow forum members The Northern Flight Ultimate.... Loved it. BUT I have to say that today was the toughest/most fun shoot of all my waterfowl shoots. Crossing shots at teal on the deck flying at what seemed to be mach speeds. Now this is tough standing up, but shooting them in a seated position WOW. Needless to say I went through a few shells today but it sure was fun. 2 Limits on a "Sick Day" from work.

Stay dryer than you would have without the 10" of rubber?

Dude it was soo nice, we were in about 2 inches of water/mud. The layout stayed completely dry (other than the little bit that I tracked in. I can't imagine how nasty it would have been without the rubber bottom. Also the packout is easy and light because it doesn't pick up water weight. I couldn't be happier.
