Before I bust wide open! I was told today in an email that one of my photographs of a Creek in Sitka, Alaska has been chosen to be used in a National Advertisement by a company that I represent. :eek:

I can't go into much details right now because the product is a new product and the timing of the release is to be kept secret.

The advertisement will be in all kinds of National Hunting Magazines and possibly on the TV.

I can give you a small sneak peek at the photography that will be used though.

I'm so very Excited that I can hardly sit still!

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to have something like this happen to me!

Back in my 35mm. SLR days I had quite a few photos win Local, State, Regional and National Competitions and I was extremely excited; but this tops that off hands down!
I won't get any money for the photo use, but they will be putting my name on the photos and also Crediting me for the photo. Plus I will get a bunch of Free Products.

Just the Recognition for me is enough, as far as I am concerned.

I am like you i have no idea the number of pictures I have sent off and always been denied, I always want to give up but my family and friends keep me going.

Great job man. I know of a snobby website for photographers that get pissed at guys like you and me. They say we are ruining their industry by de-valuing the market...lol. I figure anytime I'm pissing off the right people then I'm doing something right. Nice picture.

I can hardly wait to see the Finished Advertising Product!

All I have seen so far is a "heads up" Layout and it is awesome, even though it isn't the final product.

Shawn, Your compliment is very much appreciated! I love to look at the Gorgeous photos that you post!
There is one website that I have posted photos to that I never get any compliments on; all I get is "You did this wrong....." etc. Lately I go there just to look at the photos posted and I try to learn from them. I don't bother to read the comments on that page.

Congratulations, that is an awesome pic, and a fantastic ad, and of course having a pic of Mrs. Palin in it does not hurt either.
