Mixed emotions, I'm old enough to remember when everyone had a dog and nobody owned a leash and neighbors still got along. It was just part of life and no big deal. Times have changed...................people too.........................but, not dogs.

I remember "back in the day" (I'm really dating myself here) everyone had a dog, they all ran loose and as far as I could remember, nobody complained. But today, not so much
Reminds me of the time years ago, when the lot that my house sits on now was grass, and a neighbor's dog used it as his morning bathroom. One morning I saw him out there getting ready to do his thing. I grabbed my slingshot, and a couple of marbles, and eased out the back door and saw him dropping a deuce. I drew back on the slingshot and watched as the marble arched towards the dog, and hit him between the eyes. It must have watered his eyes, because instead of running out of the driveway, he ran smack into the gate, which had wire fence fabric attached to it. He bounced back, tumbling over bacwards, picked himself up, and ran out of the driveway. He never came back into my yard again. Even now, more than 30 years since, I still chuckle when I remember that poor guy running into the gate....
I taught our neighbors by putting the crap in a bag and tying it to the collar with a nice note. no problems since
