Is buying guns at a buy back legal?

I was just thinking about seattles gun buy back tomorrow. Would it be legal to go there with a sign and buy guns for double what the city is paying?

I think it would be legal, but there might be a federal law that limits the number of guns you can buy at once. I would call the County Sherriff or City Chief of Police and ask if it's against the law, and if they say it is then ask them to cite the law.

Maybe you could make money two ways. First by buying and reselling the guns and secondly when Seattle pd roughs you up? That's thier mo right?

I want to know how this goes! I've considered it but DONT like the idea of sitting in jail for exercising what is still a right. Maybe you could find the gun you like, offer cash and suggest the official transfer takes place at another location? I private parking lot or something?

some people were not turning guns in, rather they were offering cash to people who brought guns to the buyback.

No sign of them trying to stop the street buyers.

Talked  to a guy yesterday that was there, he picked up 2 very nice rifles from a guy and payed him with Cabellas gift cards for the same value as the police were offering. The police had run out of cards. He got some hassel from people that said they were trying to keep these guns off the streets, but he's a hunter, that is keeping them off the streets, right?
Anyway the seller had no idea what the guns were really worth and all he was going to get was $100 each.

If I can make it, I was planning on heading down to the next one with some cash to see what I might be able to dig up... Might have to find some private property to make the final transaction on... Or take the ticket and fight it...

Find a pay to park lot, as you said, they shouldn't be able to do anything about you on private property.  Good idea.

Find a pay to park lot, as you said, they shouldn't be able to do anything about you on private property.  Good idea.

Technically it would work as they could not regulate what happens on private property without a complaint from the property owner or their designee.  So if there was a parking lot that would work, the only thing you would have to look at is if they have a contract with the city to enforce laws on their property.  I would say a gas station or store, but then there is someone there, and cops are notorious for going into the store and asking the clerk... While the owner may not agree to what the clerk says, and the clerk may not have the authority to make that call the cops tend not to care as it is way easier for them to write a ticket and walk away and let you deal with it.

Would just have scope if out beforehand and see if there might be a pro-gun business owner in close proximity, then you can transact all you want without being hassled, and getting around McMoron's attempt to be tough on gun buyers that are not even committing a crime.
