bit early
« on: January 26, 2013, 12:32:01 AM »
to start thinking about trout fishing. Im stoked for this year. my son  finaly wants to come fishing with day all the time  now( not sure if he likes throwing rocks at the river bar better) but last year he caught his first trout after that he has been wanting to go with me.  i miss the strike of a bite when you feel the fish hit and take the hook and feel the power of the fish threw ypur pole and into you hands and then fighting it a bit and reeling in a nice 14 to 16 inch cutthroat. or plunking worms haha i love doing that now i put shrimp oil with and in the worm and i catch a fush in the deep every tine with a 24 to 26 inch leader. cant wait to try out some lures this year.

i only got out a couple times this year, failor lake wasn't all that kind to me.  a couple years ago it seemed like i'd catch a 2 or 3lber every time i'd head down there for an hour or two after work, this past year i'd usually go down there without a bite, at least off the bank.  i'd haul my boat down there more often but always worry that the heavy jet i've got on the thing will bust the transom going down that nasty road.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
