Quick hunt, quick season
« on: January 26, 2013, 02:23:36 PM »
Shot our last mallard at 09:07. todays hunt like this season went to quick.
-Late October first wave of mallards hit the corn in the basin
-November took a full month off and hunted almost 20 days
-December was warm and the duck gods provided
-January ice, stayed with the flowing water and it paid
-To many trips to IHOP after hunting
-Next year can't come fast enough

Nice haul! It was a great season on the eastside this year! Its been a few years since I've seen the numbers of birds that held in the basin through the entire season. Its nice when they stick around! Can't wait for next year!
Fish hard, hunt harder!

we were out last night on the eastside of town, near a corn field ,watched about 10-15k ducks dumping into 2 separate corn fields. F-ing amazing , sad thing is, both fields had cows in them. Still shot 9 geese.
Is it waterfowl season yet..............
