Dakota goose decoys
«
on:
January 28, 2013, 02:25:46 PM »
Has anyone used these decoys? I'm going to buy a spread of lessers and want an entry-level full body that will hold up. Right now I have some final approach lessers and the paint doesn't seem to hold up all that well.
If Dakotas aren't the answer, what in that price range (or lower) is?

I have some Dakota full body's. Look great and are durable. Solid product. FA's aren't as tough of decoys as Dakota in my opinion.

Can't go to wrong with bigfoot. Lessor dsd are great but very expensive and if you plan to hunt high pressure areas find a way to fit them in your budget.

Big foots are very durable. Dakotas and GHG paint comes off. If you can bite the bullet, look for some used DSD. They hold up great and work well on the birds.

Dakotas are ok, so are GHG prograde stuff. I think GHG newbold lessers have the best set of poses. If you single bag them they will all last a long time.

I have DSD lessers, and will probably add a few GHG lesser decoys to the spread.

I believe that Big Foots are probably one of the better deals on the market right now.
Just picked up a dozen B2. They are not the best looking by any means, but if they hold up nearly as well as the originals, they will work just fine.
Better a decoy that looks OK and holds up, than a great looking one who's paint is falling off.
