20sf 10mm gen3 or gen4 * Purchased!!!*
« on: January 29, 2013, 02:52:04 PM »
What's everybody's thoughts on this? I have found a G20sf for a good price it's a gen3 though. And to be honest I am not a glock guy and want to know if everyone thinks its worth the extra cost and hassle of trying to track down a Gen4?

Thanks!

personally I'd go with gen 3 especially in a G20 or G20 SF since they were the last to roll out with the gen 4 platform.

lotta more stuff out there for the Gen 3 and given the current 2A debacle we're in, gen 4 stuff might not be as common in the future shoud you feel a desire to upgrade stuff.

Your first purchase for that gun should be for a new barrel - visit    http://www.lonewolfdist.com/   and plop down a hundy+  for a 10mm barrel so you can shoot the big stuff with more accuracy and shoot jacketed, plated and lead as well.

http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=943&CAT=238

Also, for the big stuff you need a stiffer recoil spring.

Mazama,  Care to pm me with this info?  I'm interested in where you have found this.  I currently have a G29SF and am in the market for a G20.
Oh, and I'm not wanting to snake your find out from under you.  Just wondering if they have more than one, or are able to get more.  Orrrrrrr, if  you have an interest in a possible trade?
Thanks.

Gen4 will have changeable back straps to change the grip size too. If you're not comfortable with the grip size of a Glock, the 4 might be better for you.

I would go with the gen 3. But I have big hands. The interchangeable backstrap would be nice if the gen 3 is too big.

Thanks for the input everyone! Gen3 it is, now to try and get down there and pick it up before there gone (they had 2) and I know I'm pushing it waiting this long...

Now to find some ammo!

Thanks,
H&F

Have you checked BigR in Colville?
I seen some in there, but I didn't look close enough to see if they were the Gen 4 or not.

Oh no worries, I wish I was over there to be honest.
I wouldn't be against driving to that side to get one though
