I found this in my email inbox, it looks true to me, but then isn't everything on the internet true?


This is a picture of a pack of 25 wolves taken in the Weippe area in Idaho. Each one of these eats 24 Elk per year. This group alone will consume 600 Elk this year. That doesn’t even factor in the “sport kills.”


The Canadian Gray Wolf runs in packs of up to twenty wolves. For every one animal they kill to eat, these Canadian wolves kill about three more just for the fun of it. The biologists call it "sport-reflex killing" or "lustful killing". The Canadian Gray Wolf is a killing machine. These are federal wolves, as it was the federal government who introduced them into Idaho over our objections. They told the State of Idaho that the wolves would be considered recovered when they had a total of 100 wolves in Idaho .

 
Now they have between 800 and 2,000 wolves and the situation is out of control. Idaho 's wolf emergency is a state issue. And in this situation, the State of Idaho has both a duty and the authority to protect its people and their property. Last year that was Lolo Pass. Actually I think that  picture was taken in Wood Buffalo Park in Canada.
Never can be sure though, they move around a lot it seems.

Most of those have been around for a year or two.

I like how the lady in the third pic shoved her gun all the way down in the snow, hope it wasn't the hubby's

Yeah all those have been around and all had mixed stories. I think the one with the lady and handgun was hunting elk when a wolf came in and she shot it, I do think that was idaho.

False on the 25 pack. Saw this picture long ago said to be Montana. Deffintly not Weippe/pierce area for I've been there most of my life.
As for the lady with the wolf and revolver. Her names Rene Anderson and I know her personally. She shot the wolf during Achery elk last year when it charged her just outta pierce idaho.

As for the lady with the wolf and revolver. Her names Rene Anderson and I know her personally. She shot the wolf during Achery elk last year when it charged her just outta pierce idaho.

how are the hunters and trappers doing over there this year Young Gun? i deer hunt up the musselshell every year and i know that there are alot around but we havent heard as many howling the past few years as we had before.

We've done fairly decent in our traps. An harvest by firearm in 10a. However the boarding unit 10, has more wolf then elk anymore. And I wish I was kidding. 10a had gotten better, but far from where I wouldn't consider tolerable.

yea the elk between petersons corner and the work center are almost non-exsistent anymore one of these years i will have a few of these "game eliminators" walk through my stand so i can help cull the problem!

     love that commercial.  In all seriousness, the first pic of the 25 wolves was taken in Bermuda... in mid summer, by my best friens uncles third cousins girlfriends' chihuahua rabbit.
