Moose, moose, and moose. Nothing else I've tried is even close...

I try to stay away from the freeranging beavers...

Muleys taste like sage brush.

Really?  I've never had one that tasted like sagebrush.  :dunno:   Course, I guess I really don't know what sagebrush tastes like as I've never tried it.

Red Stag,  I have had a lot of different game and by far they are the best followed by Axis deer and then Speedgoat!  They Stags we shot in N.Z. were awesome.

I had a bear steak next to a beef steak and I swear the bear was as good, just a little greasier.  I wish I knew what cut it was, I am sure it had to do with how it was cut.

Depends on their diet... I'm convinced of it.

Best I've ever had: Pronghorn Antelope
Worst I've ever had: Pronghorn Antelope

That's crazy, Ive heard a lot of people say they "hate" antelope also. I shot my buck some years back and it tasted awesome. Some of the best wild game we have ever had. It must be like a new car, either it's a gem or a lemon.  Most likely how well it is field prepped.  So far for me best tasting is elk or pronghorn.

I've always assumed elk would taste better than deer.  We have been eating a lot of deer for the past 10 years.  Last year my 14 year old boy shot an elk (I'm still elkless) and I couldn't believe it when my wife said she liked the deer meat better.  Now I have to agree with her.  Mule Deer all the way
