Which big game tastes best?

Of the non-dangerous big game animals that you have had, which tastes best to you? Though I've only had burger from moose, it was great and would love to try some backstrap. Muleys have always tasted better than blacktails and elk, IMHO. Haven't had pronghorn... yet. So have to go with muleys.

I prefer deer meat myself. The mule deer have been great but the last 2 whitetail I have taken seem to be better tasting. :EAT:

The best I've ever had was alfalfa field whitetail fawn.  Elk calf and a young bull moose a close second.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I think it's all good but to answer I guess Elk or Moose are the types that I would readily accept if given to me. Not interested in someone elses venison or bear. But on the other hand my spring bear was just awesome! The hams were smoked and really some of the best wild game eating I've had. The bacon was also great.

Back to moose or elk. Big fat backstraps are hard to beat.

See there you go. I've eaten 3 fawns and they were really tasty and tender. Not much there though.

This thread is making me hungry, I think I'll have a grilled cheese and bear bacon sammich!!

Bear bacon is something i would like to try. Hands down elk is the best meat I've tasted but i haven't had whitetail, moose or caribou. Elk stroganoff is a tasty dish and i had it for lunch this afternoon. :EAT:

Moose, with elk a close second.
Not a muley fan, but deer comes in third.

I would like to try some 'bou, though.
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.

Depends on their diet... I'm convinced of it.

Best I've ever had: Pronghorn Antelope
Worst I've ever had: Pronghorn Antelope

Love it all.  Moose is a real treat though I've not taken one.  One year, the bow was one fire and the freezer was blessed with antelope (1), bear (2), elk (2), whitetail (2) and caribou (2).  Ate meat 3 meals a day for weeks!
