All Democrats are in the anti gun crowd. (Or in Obamerika.) All media is IN the tank against the NRA. Republicans are mostly ineffective at best.

Why is the NRA winning the people when the Goliath against them is so powerful?

Russ, where is your evidence of this?  Seems he has done nothing to earn the political contribution from the NRA.  In fact, he's been trying to water down the filibuster abilities of the minority party (R's at the moment).


I was hoping to see Chris Christie run for president in the future, but after reading this, I withdraw my support.  He'll be crushed, I'm sure.

Many Democrats feel, based on a 100% emotion driven campaign that the NRA must concede ground. This is false. I honestly hope enough pressure has been pressed to kill all gun restriction bills. However all elected senators are suspect until we know how they vote.

He had NRA endorsement. For one thing, he specifically inserted legislation into Obamacare that protects gunowners information from the health care juggernaught. He appeared with Wayne LaPierre in a video when the two opened a gun range in Nevada together. Wayne thanked Reid for his support of the 2A.

My understanding is that they have since backed off the fight to remove the filibuster.

I too wont vote for Christie. I will vote libertarian if he becomes the nominee even if it means that Hillary might win.

I might be wrong on Reid but he is a Senator in Nevada a very pro gun state and facing re-election in 2014 along with Sens. Max Baucus (Mont.), Tim Johnson (S.D.), Mary Landrieu (La.), Mark Udall (Colo.) and Mark Begich (Alaska)all very pro gun states too.  That is also why they say there are going to have problems passing anything through the house because there are some democrats on the pro gun side too.  Just my  .  I know this is going to be a fight so that is why I am a member of the NRA

Harry Reid has been given a B rating from the NRA in the last several elections. He is one of the few Democrats with moderate views on gun issues.
