That is unreal. How many of you would ever pay that  much even if you were rich?

If I could afford it I would buy it in a heart beat.

I don't care how much money I had, I would never pay that much for a sheep tag. Heck you could easily go on a fully guided sheep hunt in Canada or Alaska for a tenth of that.

Yep, along with 20 other hunts across the states or over seas!

If you had that kind of money Bob you could do all three. ;)

Maybe, but why would I want to waste money just because I have lots of it?  For half a million I could buy a big chunk of land in Montana and hunt it every year, along with friends and family.

Sorry but I just can't think of anything dumber than spending $450,000 on a sheep tag.

If you've got 450 k to drop on a tag you already have plenty of hunting land.

I'd buy the land in MT too.

I can think of at least a 1000 things dumber than spending $450,000 on a sheep tag.

It is more than a sheep tag. It is a donation to a worthy cause and also bragging rights.

Spoken like someone that never has.

You could buy all the land you want Bob that does not give you the a tag to hunt sheep every year. To him its obviously not dumb and he can either spend it on hunting the animals he wants or give it to the government, pretty easy choice if you ask me. :twocents:

I'm with you Bobcat I don't think I could spend that kind of money even if it was a world record. Chances are someone would beat it in a few years anyway. And if I was gonna spend half a mil for bragging rights it's gonna be for a trophy wife.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

People that have the cash to spend that kind of money on a sheep tag don't even know the money is gone. They also probably already own that ranch and have already hunted all over the world.
