I like big tex, he brings allot of facts and corrects half truths. That being said after reading many and many of his posts he definitely seems to be with the new agendas of "departments of wildlife".
We need the dept of game back, and have good representation for us sportmans who pour a great deal of money into a government agency who does not represent its meant constituency

There is the bill and committie meeting videos there for you.  Im not so sure this is a bad thing. Seems to me it could be used to limit the amount of damage our far left leaning goveners can do. looking forward to hearing more about it on the 6th

Sorry to steal your quote but...Really? Please expand on your feeling that this bill could be a good thing for sportsman?  :dunno: Do you really think 3 new Commission seats occupied by commercial fishing industry reps is a better management direction for our resources?

Did the original link to the bill not work?

I did not see anywhere in the bill where it gives three new seats to commercial fishing. That is what the commercial fishers want but did not see that as part of the bill.  I thnk that with a few extra seats added on top of what the bill calls for  that the main user groups would have more power against the preservationist and things like the wolf issue.id like to beleive that for example two user groups, commercial fihers, sport anglers, could try and find middle ground and team up and fight against the enviros who want to shut down any "user" group.

HB 1189 reorganization of Commission pulled from Exec Session!

Blake just pulled HB 1189 from Executive session which probably means he didn't have the support/votes needed. Looks like paying our Lobbyists through CCA, PSA, FishNW, and NSIA is paying off all combined with the WACPAC! If you do not have someone in Olympia every day to keep an eye on our issues, they will gain too much momentum and hard to react to. Stopping these early on is a big factor. Without those organizations listed above our recreational fishing would surely be screwed. Thanks to those who wrote! If it comes back up I'll let you know.
