In the last 7 years I have hunted about 12 days each year. Total kills for me 4 bulls and 3 cows all archery. Two 6x7s, one 4x5,and one spike.

I have also guided my 3 oldest girls to 3 6x6s and one cow in the same time frame!
I love Elk!!.......almost as much as whitetails.  :chuckle:
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

LOL!  I'm gonna have to ask for a measurment from the referee.   ;)

We all do alright in our respective methods.  I don't trophy hunt so my count is pretty respectable on Rosey branch bulls.  I am also way above the average in my unit success rate with a rifle.  It's all good.

You are the Elk slayer in my eyes D-Rock...

been averaging 35-40 days the last few years.  Kill 8-10 bulls every year.  Killed 11 last year.

Sounds like you must be a member of the Yakama tribe.

Dangit you beat me to it :chuckle:

I usually get a week to get things done since I have to fly from the East Coast. I am 3 for 3 the last 3 years. But before that it was like 8 years since I shot one and before that it was like 6 years. I don't have a picture from 2010. But it was a 410" 7x7 I swear :chuckle:

Ya but they don't count because I held your hand for all of them!  I even had to load his muzzleloader for him last year and the year before that I had to pull his bow back!  He said it was because his onboard guadiance system was off line or something :dunno:

I've shot 8 in the last 10 years.   4 spikes,  1 4pt,  3 cows all early season.

Can you post some pics?
:yeah: or maybe at least one?

I don't always get to pull the trigger, just get to do all the work, but still fun and its time in the woods chasing elk.  Then I spend another 20-30 chasing other critters.
