I haven't done this yet, but man I know it's gotta be a riot!

Did you see the youtube vid of the coyote vs two coons?  Them little buggers was mean!

Someone will have to fetch you the link, I can't get it right now.

I had a coon charge at me one time, scared the crap out if me! I did not see the three babies she had and I was harassing her. Won't do that again when I'm not carrying :chuckle:

I was up hiking by Stevens pass and heard what I thought was someone blowing a emergency whistle but it was just a whistling marmot, I had never heard or seen one before that.
It was being chased by what looked like a fox. I have learned to observe before rushing in to things now

I have a call on my Foxpro called "Raccon Fight".  Never tried it for coyotes, but I bet it would work for Raccons.  It sounds pretty mean!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I'm not sure I'd like to mess around with coons. A local guy passed away a couple years ago because he got bit by a trapped coon with rabies.

According to scientific surveys, Racoons, Opposums and Bats don't have a higher rate of rabies than any other animal--it's just that there are so many more of them!  I would be careful to come in contact with any animal, especially if it is acting strangely!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

That's good to know. I had one run towards me and got within 10 feet then turn away. It didn't slow down or even look at me. It was strange. We were in the bottom of a draw in the timber line looking for a spot to put up a stand. It happened quick enough I didn't have time to draw my rifle up.

I've had animals do that to me, too.  Turned out I was too near where their young were hidden.  They show no fear when they think their kiddies are in danger!
