I didn't know you were involved with Sere training DB.   Thats cool.   I ran around alot in that country (Flowery Trail, Cusick and Usk).  Its a good spot for it.  I knew one instuctor in the program.  He got transfered to Europe, Britian I think.   I was his wifes instructor at the hospital here, so I didn't know much about him.

I enjoy it very much and love the country we work in. We have a small career field so I probably know the SERE guy you are talking about.

Cool DB, just watched a vid on the training to become an instructor. Definitely not a job for the uncommitted, kudos..
Fishermen, hunters, woodchoppers, and others, spending their lives in the fields and woods, in a peculiar sense a part of Nature themselves, are often in a more favorable mood for observing her, in the intervals of their pursuits, than philosophers or poets even, who approach her with expectation. She is not afraid to exhibit herself to them. Henry David Thoreau

well, i watched the whole thing. thought it was a cool vid. interesting to see how the mental aspect played out. we couldnt help but laugh at his plight as he was crying then laughin and  back to crying. we thought he kind of got shorted by not getting to eat any big game when there was plenty of oportunity for it..

The guy lost me when he started balling 20 minutes in.

When the plane flew over?  Lost me too.
I'd still be on cloud nine at the whole adventure, and I'd be busier than a two tailed beaver  :chuckle:

Haha. You get some mixed emotions watching your float plane fly away from you 90 miles away from the nearest person or town. Try it sometime.

That being said, I can't say that's have or would cry about it.

Absolutely totally friggin weak. I dont feel bad for him since Ed is a neutered subject of the crown. This is how the elites of our nation want US to be; completely unable to rise up to the challenges of just surviving day to day. I was disgusted to my core when i first saw this. I actually felt bad for my heritage. You SUCK Ed! Put me in the same place, same time of year, with the exact same equipment and resources ole eddy boy had and see the difference.
