Carp will eat corn pretty readily too. Put 3 or 4 kernels on a small hook. You have to use light line and have a good drag on your reel. Also you can catch them on flies. Gold ribbed hares ear is a good carp fly. They fight really good and pull like a truck. If you hook a big one they will ruin a reel with a junk drag. We used to catch them and take them to my dad's buddy. He owned a Chinese restaurant and was happy to trade whatever we wanted on the menu for carp. They loved to eat them.

They are fun as heck on a fly. If you happen to time it right, you can get some real good top water action as well. Banks lake is where we have targetted them in the past. THere are some serious brutes in there.
