Companies Supporting Gun Owners
« on: February 16, 2013, 11:00:57 PM »
So we've all seen how the politicians are coming after our guns. There is a bit of a silver lining to some of this though. A lot of companies seem much bolder than they were the last time we were in this situation. Many have gone so far as to ban state entities and agencies from buying anything that citizens of those states cannot buy. Those companies so far are:

ATI Firearms
Barrett
EFI
LaRue Tactical
Olympic Arms
Templar Customs
York Arms

In Illinois, Les Baer Customs, moved from Hillsdale, IL across the river into Iowa in 2008 because of their laws, and now ArmaLite is considering leaving the state as well.

Here is a partial list of more than 350 (out of 1,000-1,200) vendors that pulled out of the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, because the company with oversight of the show said that "assault weapons" and "high capacity magazines" were not allowed at the show. It ended up costing the city between $45 & $80 million in lost revenue because the show had to be cancelled. I'm glad to see both Ruger and S&W on the list.

"The boycotts are a result of the announcement by show organizer Reed Exhibitions that so-called assault rifles and high-capacity ammunition magazines will not be allowed to be displayed or sold at the show this year.

that long list are those that boycotted the show because so called assault weapons were not allowed? or is it bcause they would be allowed at the show?
If it's because they were not allowed then good but if its because they dont like the guns and suport gun ctrl then not good.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

They pulled out of the show because the show runner said that assault weapons and high capacity mags would NOT be allowed to be displayed or sold. They disagreed with that, so they all refused to support the show. As a result the show had to be cancelled.

If assault weapons and mags had been allowed, the show would have gone as planned.
