Weapon of Choice for Moose
« on: September 25, 2008, 11:54:11 AM »
I have read all the post and see where we have a large gamut of choices. Ranging from Archery,Handguns,Rifles. Best of luck to all of you with your personal choice. I have given this a great amount of "Thought". I therefore have chosen the lost art of the " Traditional Alaskan Snare". I do feel this will afford me perhaps the most Sporting opportunity to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. While this lost art requires a pair of hunters I do think it should be thrilling.

This lost art requires your hunting buddy to acquire the intended Moose's attention, while the hunter is making a stalk from behind the animal. Once you have made your stalk and gotten close to the intended target you thrust with all your strength the snare into the animal. Having a firm grasp on the ring now all you have to do is hold on until the moose runs until he collapses.

Photos will be submitted upon the completion of this successful hunt!

Looks like an upgraded "Butt-out" tool.

Take lots of video!
