Buffalo harvest ideas UPDATED WITH PICS

The wife told me she wants buffalo meat.  Anyone have a good idea on where to get one thats not to outrageously over priced.  Thanks for the replies and I found a place and booked it.  It was a blast.  I took a nice bull and he is going to provide great meals for months to come.  I made a 40 yard shot on him and he didnt go very far.  Radsav the exit hole was huge    Just before we were getting ready to leave my brother decided he wanted some meat.. We spotted a lone cow and the stalk was on.  He made a 45 yard shot with my bow and filled his freezer also

There was a thread on here about a ranch out in E. Montana.  I think it was called the Crazy Woman Bison Ranch or something like that.  Prices seemed pretty reasonable if I recall.

It's called that; prices are 1500 for the bull (yearling) and then you have to pay for everything else or arrange for it to be done. They offer names and prices on their website and remember this would be a shoot not a hunt.

Montana for a cow 2 year old was $750 two years ago...  My mind is slipping can't remember the farm, but it was owned by big bad old Ted and Hanoi Jane..

Check out your butcher at Fred Meyer. They used to have sales on all kinds of cuts about every other week. I don't buy meat at the store very ofter but I know it was reasonably priced. Good steaks.

The meat is under heavy demand because it's so healthy which is why buffalo has increased so much in price. At this price (which is very reasonable in today's market) a whole buffalo would be $3352.00. If you just want some meat these 1/8 buffalo packages are actually a pretty good deal. A guy from New York called me a couple months ago for some meat, he is paying $19.99 per pound at the market back there for buffalo.
