First Annual Hunt Wa Crab Outing
« on: February 14, 2013, 09:52:53 AM »
I have booked a picnic shelter at Kayak Point in Snohomish County on July 20th for a get together. I will have my boat and hopefully we can get more boaters and crab pot's for a fun day of crabbing and boiling! This is a fun place on Port Susan for the kids to play, with a play ground and beach combing. There is a nice camp ground for out of towners or locals who want to camp. Let me know if you are bringing a boat so we can plan things out. I'm thinking about having a fishing derby also. It's probably to early for Humpies but maybe a flounder derby. That would be fun. Other than the crab we catch, we can potluck everything else. If anyone would like to pitch in for expenses that would be great. I will cover the $50.00 shelter rental but I'm sure there will be other expenses like gas, bait, ice...... Come on out and have a good time.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

1. Yep!
2. Yep.
3. Yes, but the tent camping is about a quarter mile walk to the beach......you can pitch a tent on the water during the day and stuff, but you would have to move it by nightfall.
4.  :dunno: Hard to answer, but if you have never been crabbing then it would be :chuckle:
5. ........it doesn't take much to catch a flounder  :chuckle:

Ok, I am 99% sure this is a must-attend event for myself and crew on our best behavior.  I'll just need to see how many crab pots I have left by then  :chuckle:

C-Post!   :yike:   I thought even bringing that up gets a guy a automatic suspension from the Mod's?  If I remember right they got a little sensitive to it's use...
