Bump......

Man...I was just sitting here thinking about some fresh crab boil then got to thinking that I'll have to bring some fresh oysters to cook up on the half shell..........maybe I just want some shirtsleeve sunny weather....kids playing at the edge of the water....all the pretty ladies in sundresses......now I'm looking outside and getting depressed.

I'm really looking forward to this too.  Plan on having my boat there for the weekend.  Anybody looked at a tide chart yet?

Craptastic tides.  What time is this shindig supposed to kick off again?

Yep.....craptastic.....add weight to your pots. However...that ultra low tide could make for some good snorkling for crab.

Craptastic:

verb, slang for an unusual amount of crappiness. Also can be used as a double meaning adjective. IE: Man....the crabing was simply craptastic, easy limits! The inflection and phrasing must be paid attention to or the wrong meaning could be deduced. IE: How was the crabbing? Craptastic...didn't catch squat!

As far as a kickoff time, the earlier the better. Kayak Pt fills up fast and it's quite a walk to overflow parking, not to mention the climb up the hill. With the minus tide, getting your boat in the water will be tough also. I will be there when the park opens at 7:00am. We have picnic shelter 8. The minus tide will be outstanding for sturgeon fishing. You can't keep them but catching them is fun. You might want to use a little heavier tackle for flounder, just in case ya know! It's going to be a good time folks.

If you are sure you're going to make it, pm me and I'll post up a list. Also if we're going to do a potluck type thing let me know what you'll be bringing. If you'd like to pitch in a few bucks so we can get prizes for the derby, let me know and I'll pm you my address. I'll have to do some brain storming with H2O and D-Rock about other crazy idea's for prizes.

Oops.  Boat?  Sure, if necessary.  If we have enough seats for everyone who wants to fish though, probably easier to not bring it since I'll be diving.

So far it looks like we have plenty of boats. I put the ? because I wasn't sure. It doesn't look like you'll need it.
