Standard axle and springs set up or the god awful torque flex axles? If it's got Torque flex do not ever short the turn over the curb ,it point loads all the trailer weight onto one spindle bends it and then tire wear becomes funky.I used to build aluminum horse trailers and after replacing several axles my boss quit using them.Air ride suspension was our typical set up.

Nice. We're looking for a 4 horse GN right now. We traded our HEAVY 3 GN with the in-laws for a nice Circle J 2 bumper. More or less we were doing each other a favor as we'd get more out of the 2 horse when trying to get into a new one. And our 3 was a warmblood trailer so it worked better for them hauling their studs around.

If anyone knows someone looking to downsize let me know. Or looking to buy a 2 horse.

I'd recommend a Charmac.  I bought a late model and did a little work to it.  Tough trailer.  Heavy duty. Plenty of pulling my critters on steep, not maintained USFS roads.

:yeah: Second on that Charmac. We bought a 3H BP Charmac new in '02 and it's been a great hauler. Been on a lot of rough roads and still going strong. They are steel frame with aluminum skin so they are a bit lighter than an all steel rig. Wife wants a 2H gooseneck Lakota with living qtr so we're trading it in. Looks like there is still a good demand for the 3H BP configuration.
