from the pine cones looks like you were in eastern Oregon i am guessing?  just spent some time in eastern Oregon last summer and really liked it there.  a lot of mulies there.  Nice cougar that is awesome.  I am curious did you hear it come in at all or see it move?

No sound at all. Caught movement of something brown behind some brush, further inspection through my scope revealed a twitch of the tail.  He slowly moved forward a few steps and gave me a shot.
