Got my custom Black Gold Sight.
« on: February 17, 2013, 12:07:02 PM »
I shoot a 70lb PSE Brute and have been using the factory PSE sight that came with the bow. I can get decent groups out to 70 yards with it. However, at the end of the season I started to think I'm limiting my potential with that sight. So, I went ahead and ordered a custom Black Gold Ascent. It's a 3 pin slider sight, with a 4" dovetail, tool-less micro height and windage adjustments, and it's got the vengeance head on it with micro pin gap adjustments. I opted for .010" pins which I like the looks of so far and as with other Black Gold sights  it has the photo chromatic lens over the fiber optics that dims in bright light so there's no halo effect on the pins. I'll be heading into my local shop, The Nock Point early this week to get it dialed in. Also, I'll be getting a Kenmore Gun range membership later this month so if you go there, just look for the guy who shoots a sight that is far too fancy for his bow. Haha.

Ya, I'm pumped on it. I've got six months to reach ninja sniper status with it. ;)

Haha. I'm excited to practice at 100+ yards. That will just make any ethical range on an animal that much easier.

Just got a similar sight.  Was almost bored with archery until i got that sight.  Now I shoot everyday.  Have been shooting out to 130 yds with it.  Best thing I've bought in a long time.

Nice! I hope I can get out to 130 or so. Black Gold says it's dependent on anchor point on how far you can shoot the sight.
