Proposed Wa. gun law allows annual house searches

In today's Seattle Times page B1, there's a really interesting article about the proposed new Washington gun law that includes this language:

"In order to continue to possess an assault weapon that was legally possessed on the effective date of this section, the person possessing shall.... safely and securely store the assault weapon.  The sheriff of the county may, no more than once per year, conduct an inspection to ensure compliance with this subsection."

But don't worry, the legislator's sponsoring the bill say they didn't know that language was in there.

Rest well knowing that nobody wants to infringe on your 2A right....
