lol so I have small fingers  :chuckle:

Machias It's a nikon m-223 1 peice

 Nice scope mount.  Bet you didn't have to wait as long for the mount as I've been waiting for my Rock River 1-piece mount.  No biggie--I don't have the barrel for my 6mmX6.8 SPC build yet either.
BTW: I have a Grendel AR build too--Except it's a 20 LBC.  (6.5 Grendel case necked down to .204)

Nice! I was thinking of buliding another in 204 why I don't know. Maybe because it's faster than a 223 :chuckle: Then *censored* went crazy  :bash:. So it's on the back burner.

They are worse than potato chips.  I've got 4 ARs (had 5--sold one.) and only one is 223.  I'll be back to 5 again when all the parts come for my 6mmX6.8 build.  They told me 6-8 weeks for my barrel.  Yesterday was 8 weeks.  But that's what they said about my 20 LBC barrel, and it was 6 Months.  But when it finally came--Hoo, Man!  I love it!

I would lose that buttstock and buy something with a better cheek weld for precision shooting.
Definitely a free float HG and avoid the 'more Picatinny is better' idea.

These are the two builds that were completed today.  Mine is the one with the tactical sight and a buddies is the detachable A2 handle,

Question for those that are in the know......I bought the completed uppers from a company out of Texas.  They have RRA upper receivers, with Yankee Hill free float quad rails.  I notice on mine that the quad rail is loose and wiggles.  It appears to me that the barrel nut is not torqued down.  I don't have any experience with this and have no tools to correct the problem, but it needs to be corrected.  I am assuming my diagnosis is correct, but again not sure.  Anyone near Wenatchee with experience and tools that can lend me a hand???

On those YHM handguards, the barrel nut must be torqued to the proper tightness, AND indexed exactly 12 o'clock-6 o'clock to the centerline for the 2 screws in the 3 o'clock-9 o'clock holes in the handguard to lock into the grooves in the barrel nut.  If the 2 screws are fully tight, and the forearm is loose, then the barrel nut is loose.  Looseness will be limited by the gas tube going through the holes in the barrel nut.

Thanks for the response you hit the nail on the head.  The barrel nut was not tightened down all the way.  The guys at High Mountain fixed it right up for me.  When I bought the completed uppers this is the way one came.  The other was tight so the company that made the upper must have just forgot to torque it down.

Huge shout out to HIGH MOUNTAIN HUNTING SUPPLY in Wenatchee.  Kelsey, Dewey and Mich were awsome today and got my AR back up in running.

HUGE THANKS

Johnny

I added one of these to the bottom of the handrail.  Made by an outfit in Israel.
