Just finished packing this morning, coming in late to work, then head up to the mountains tonight for the weekend bear hunt.  Can't wait.  Hopefully this rain sticks around...though I just moved my blinds and it's looking a little more sunny...

Hour and a half left.  Guys I am going with have already taken two bears, and swear on there life they can put me on one tomorrow, but as I am fond of saying "This ain't no NW Trek!"  So we shall see, I promised my buddy if he puts me on a bear, bar tab's on me!

GONE.  See you all Sunday night, hopefully will have pictures in tow.  This is my first hunt of the year, I've been anxiously watching all you others go before, I won't dissapoint.  "A bad day hunting is better then a perfect day at work"

Sadly.  No bear.  Stupid stupid sunny weather killed my hunt.  What bear wants to frolick under my scope when it's 85 degrees out!

We see bears in the sun all the time.  I took pictures of one on Sat.

  I never seems to see them in the rain! I've only spotted them in good weather.

Regardless lol...no bears for me.  Seriously, we saw a spike and doe all weekend, but sometimes it's like that...*sigh*

Im with ya there too Mray...only seen 1 bear in crap weather...my lil bro says (as we were drying out, driving the truck in a nasty sleet storm) why cant we see a bear cross the road like you hear about?!

That's funny I'll have to start saying that so I'll see more bears closer to a road! 

That's kinda like this year for me too! I was scouting with tmike and hanging tree stands for the upcoming Archery elk season and I said to tmike " I'll probably see a bear since I don't have a weapon on me!" Well you know it's murphy's law and I got pinned right where I wanted to hang a stand for about 25 minutes watching a 200 pounder dig something out from under a log!
