Model 12 LRP @ 1000 yards
« on: February 19, 2013, 07:38:13 PM »
This was my first ever shots taken at 1000 yards. Its not the best group and i only hit 11 out of 15 but it was fun. My 14 month old is in pic for an idea of the scale.

Nice job. I like the target too.

I just took a guy out on Sunday to shoot at 400 yards for the first time. He was happy to be hitting the 10" gong at 400. I've never had a chance to get past 750. It's too hard to find a place to shoot that far around here.

It is light on recoil and super accurate. Great BC's for bullets also. We are setting up a 1 mile range on the family farm. We had 14 lifesize animals cut and 7 gongs. The animals include rabbits, coyotes wolves, elk, moose, grizzly, cougar, pheasant, geese and ducks.

you guys could come to the long range shoots i put on, snowshoe22 has attended one and liked it. I have ideas for two shoots so far for this spring, just haven't picked a date yet for them. you can go to my website at www.sportsmanschallenge.weebly.com and check out the past shoots, pictures, prizes ect.  I got these going for guys to get more trigger time and get more proficient in their abilities before they go out and shoot at an animal or just to gain a fun way to compete and strive to shoot better.

check out the targets also

nice job snowshoe22, i like that cougar

I'm no expert, but that looks like an absolutely awesome group for your first 1,000 yard shoot.

Thanks for sharing.  I'll enjoy following this as you add targets.
