I got my german shorthair pup!!
« on: September 26, 2008, 11:55:18 AM »
So I had a customer come in and buy a new motor home from one of my sales guys and I over heard her say she had a friend who was selling pure bread German short hairs, so me being the salesguy I am  :hello: ran out and told her how I have been looking for one for quite a while, missed the chance at a very nice guys on here, wife didn't want to spend quite that much money on a pup right now due to thinking about buyin a house, and all that good stuff. So she say's well you've saved me so much money, how about tomorrow I bring you a pup!! OK!!! So now I have my new pup Taz, a damn good pup, loves people, points at the birds in the bushes, 10 weeks old. :IBCOOL: Now my question will be is there a certain way to train Germans, we've had labs, however I've never done the pointer style that I can't wait to have!! Any help at all would be great. I'm not opposed to paying for a trainer either!

You should contact Dan Hoke, here is his website.  Outstanding guy, tell him Fred, his neighbor, pointed you in his direction.  He is very helpful!!

There's ways to train and ways not to. Depending on where your located I could give you some hands on training. So just get back to hear and let me know... Best of luck to you, any questions just ask...
Will hunt for food
