so yesterday while in tigard i decided to stop by the Bimart out there, I talked to the fellow behind the counter and he told me they would be getting 40 boxes of remington 22lr. I asked when he figured they would get in and be put on shelves and he replied with " around 11am or so.." he also told me that corporate instructed them to 1 box per person. well after this tip off I figured the one on the west side of vancouver ( who told me last week they get shipments in on wednesday as well) would be getting some as well. I had my wife call first thing in the morning just after 9am to both Vancouver locations, washougal and se portland. All responded that they dont have any or its not their delivery day. Now I do know the one in east vancouver is a tuesday/thursday delivery dont know about the portland one. but while cruising the forums while in class today I see this thread and right after head out there. Im there at 2pm and they sold the last one a half hour earlier. I asked her why my wife was told they did not have any in and gun counter lady said they had been out first thing in the morning. On top of my wife being mislead here, I also instructed my brother to check the westside vancouer store on his way to school, needless to say they also sold out by the time he got there around 11am after we called earlier and inquired

Aside from my wife being mislead more than once,  granted she could have spoke to someone flying through the sporting goods department and not the ones stocking shelves. BUT I find it kind of irritating that they dont give you all the facts. They know when shipments come in. The nice fellow at the gun counter in Tigard was the most honest answer ive got about ammo instead of the protocol by corporate of " i dont know it trickles in..." Im sure procedure is not any different in other bimart stores and he well knew hat he was getting in and when, hell he was holding and looking at the shipping list and told me exactly what kind was coming in. oh well I guess glad atleast others were able to get some ammo!

end rant.../

At BI-mart, It's just a matter of being there at the right time.  I was at the Wenatchee Bi-Mart Tuesday morning, and the shelves were bare, and the guy at the counter said there was a whole pallet of ammo out back, but he couldn't put it out until it was shaken out and scanned into inventory.  :twocents:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
