WildfireII battery life

How long will a WildfireII run on a set of batteries? Then, how long will they last when running FOXPro's sp55 with it?

Can't help you with the wildfire but I have gone all day 10 to 12 hours with a Set of the foxpro batteries using just one speaker instead of both speakers on my Firestorm and a foxjack decoy.
I turn on the foxjack when I set the caller down and don't shut it off till I pick it up. I would figure you should be able to get at least 8 hours.

I don't know about the Wildfire, but I ran my Scorpion with the Auxiliary #55 speaker for more than 3 hors yesterday in the cold, and the batteries (AA Rechargeables) never quit, and seem to have plenty of life left. When I run the big speaker, I move the jumper to turn off the internal speaker to extend battery life.
I've never had the batteries quit, but when the caller starts doing things by itself, I know the batteries are getting weak...

Thanks, I think the Scorpion comparison would be closest, since the Wildfire is only a 4aa unit.

Believe it or not, despite its compact size, the Scorpion carries 8 AA batteries in its battery pack unit!

Guess I should have done a little research instead of assuming!

No problem! When I bought it, I had no Idea how many or even what kind of batteries it used. I bought it because it was compact enough to stick in a pocket or pack without the bulk of a full-size caller. I only hook an auxiliary speaker to it when I feel that more volume is needed. (I rarely do). The little speaker seems to be loud enough for most stands, and an animal that can reportedly hear a mouse squeak 1/4 mile away doesn't need to be blasted with sound!

I've ran mine for about 7 days with probably a total of 5 hours a day on rechargeable batts in my scorpion. Haven't changed the 9v in remote since I bought the call two years ago.
