Hunting in july/august

do you guys think it would be inhumane to hunt coyotes in late july/august going on a camping trip to a wilderness area in late july.

How could it be inhumane?  Pups are already half grown by then.  I might be missing what you consider inhumane though?  I say hunt them right now when they're paired up, better chance of doubles and save some fawns.

if wolves were leagle would you hold off shooting any time of year?? as far as im concerned they are a legal preditor, pup or not.

By all means shoot away, and post some pics... we (or at least I) always enjoy seeing yotes taking dirt naps!

If you're in the wilderness, you might be more likely to see wolves than coyotes.

If you do get a large coyote, you might not want to post any pictures.

No law against NOT posting and/or bragging.  Same goes for making a bad shot or losing a wounded animal.  Or displaying a bloody animal on the front grill of your truck.  Sometimes it's better to just enjoy your hunt and save that memory for your pro hunting grandchildren's fireside stories.  People these days share way to much personal information on the internet as it is.

yeah, thinking on heading up to the pasayten wilderness area...my buddy told me he saw plenty of coyotes when he went for black bear. might give it a shot my buddy austin is going to shoot em if theyre within 35 yards with his 20 gauge and ill be using my .223 for bigger distance

Coyotes are overpopulated in most areas of the state and there is a year around season, that is why I support year around hunting of coyotes, we need to help as often as we can to keep their population in check.

what do you guys usualy do with them after you kill em i was thinking about skinning them and tanning the hide but then again the hides suck in the summer

I dont really hunt them in the summer and if I do I leave them in the field. I focus on hunting them in the winter/Spring

I don't get this?  Don't have an issue but I don't get it.

Pups or not, if I'm quick enough and they're slow enough, I'm busting them year around.

So you will let the Pup's suffer a miserable death (Starving) vice shooting them?  Anit's love those comments.  Either way they are going to die, one just happens to be more humane then the other.  We may not like them; they are extremly destructive and need to be managed.  But as hunters or game managers however you want to look at it we should still do our duty and ensure that no animal suffers a miserable death.  The German word that best sescribes this is Waidergerechtigheit (Spelling is wrong).  The closest literal translation is sportsmanship is what directs German hunters to do what's right.  That's just my 2 cents on the though.
