wyoming elk preference point deadline

Any one who has a desire to hunt Wyoming better get in the game now!  With the structure of their point system, the way I see it, your basically gonna have one or two chances to hunt there and then it will be impossible to ever draw again!  Too bad for the up and coming generation!

Yea their point system is a little expensive and quite frankly they are the most expensive for nonresident tags fees that I have encountered in western states.

I used my 2 points each this year and got my 1st. choice elk and antelope units and took a leftover deer unit as I only have 1 point on it.  Have over $1200 for the 3 tags not including the point fees.

It's not about the money at this point in my life, it's the experience. When I retire in a  few years things will probably have to change since I will only have my public servant retirement system without any medical benefits.
 
Leaving this Wednesday for the month of Oct. for all 3 animals.

I think I'm going to have to pass this year--I should put in some homework for the most cost effective state to buy points in (that still has great hunting).  But that will have to wait until the economy picks up.
