Wet & Wild 3D at Skookum
« on: March 17, 2013, 12:02:30 AM »
Did anyone shoot the Wet & Wild today? My partner and I got done just before the rains hit. Lucky. Shootin tomorry but I sure hope it's dry and warms up a bit.
The running deer showed me that even today's fast bows need to lead a moving deer. Hopefully I hit it better tomorrow.
Here's a link to the flyer. It's about 40 targets total each day.

Shot it yesterday for fun, got rained on a bit. That running deer shot would be a lot easier with a partner to pull the cord to get it started though.

Nice shooting a score like that would have put you towards the top on Sunday! Shot both days had fun even though i was off my game! Fell into the first flight and finished second with a score in the 330's I would have rather not placed and been in the championship flight. I really need to spend more time at the range. Even though I scored OK i was not happy with that performance!
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

That's one thing about 3-D's , one shoot your shooting lights out and the next you could be off your game can't hit a 10 ring to save your life. Been there, done that.

After Saturday's hit on the running deer, I had a good idea for my lead for Sunday. Lucky shot on Sunday in the 10 ring. Fun times with good a good friend and his two boys. A young couple shot w/us also, Nice folks.
