Belly band with my 45.  On my back some times, right side low some times and under left arm up high other times.  All depends on how I am sitting, where I am sitting and if I feel I need to get it rather quickly or if I have a few seconds to go higher under my over clothing.

With my .380 I use a belt holster. When I carry my .45 acp  it all depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I'll use a shoulder holster, sometimes I'll use a belt.

.40 cal IWB at about 4 o'clock. With my Crossbreed I can hardly tell I'm carrying anything!  On the hip if I'm tromping through the woods.

I have a kimber CDP that I carry in the Kidney Carry Yaqui sytle paddle holster.  If your new to concealed carry, try several different styles of gun and holster.  Everyone is different and finding your "fit" can take a little time and expense, however, it is worth it when you get everything right.

Sig P229 in a Blackhawk SERPA and a jacket or shirt if that... As I have said before, 99% of the time I open carry, but in the winter I wear jackets a lot, so I generally will cover up because it's just a hassle to open carry with a jacket.

No matter what you get through, it will be uncomfortable at first... Give it time, and if you find yourself doing the "its uncomfortable, I'm not going to take it today..." its time for a new holster. Just remember, it's not supposed to be comfortable, it's supposed to be comforting. Like most everyone else that carries, you will end up with a favorite, several specialty holsters (for different manners of dress or concealment) a box of stuff that just didn't work out for you.

I just picked up a SHTF gear ACE-1 holster for my XDM 3.8 compact and even on the first day I was wearing it I forgot about it at times.  I'm carrying at 4 o'clock, very pleased with the holster, appearance and quality...and cheaper than the crossbreed or Galcos.

S&w j-frame 38 special revolver... At least you know with a revolver it will shoot every trigger pull ( not ragging on semi autos at all) but I feel more comfortable knowing if I have to pull the trigger I know the gun is going to shoot let alone revolver won't leave cases behind  ;) lol... My wife carries a ruger lcp380 nice good little little pocket gun and they are accurate and get a job done! So far it's been reliable also

The most comfortable and most easily hidden IWB I have used is the Galco King Tuk.
The Cross Bread was a close second, but the quality of the King Tuk was much better.
Milt Sparks Versa Max II is the easiest hidden "leather" holster IWB, not quite as comfortable as the King Tuk, but much, much more classy, LOL.

OWB, Desantis Viper (leather with paddle) and Blackhawk Serpa or Kydex will do fine depending on your taste.

I use a Gould & Goodrich  X26 leather paddle holster. It hides under most shirts and is comfortable to wear.
If you are going to do it do right the first time.

Depends on you. It varies by what you carry, what you wear, and how you wear it. If you usually have some sort of overshirt or jacket, OWB may work. I usually carry a G19 IWB at about 4 o clock. If I'm wearing lighter clothes I'll carry a Keltec .32 in a pocket holster. It can vary wildly depending on dress. The only thing for certain is, either way, get a good stiff belt. People make a big deal about weight, but most of that can be offset with a good belt. I find the thickness of the portion that would be inside the belt to be most important characteristic for me, but that's because I usually carry IWB. Most of my holsters are also from Fist Inc. They make good stuff and they've always come in quicker than the time quoted. The more you buy the cheaper they get too. I think I'm on number 8 or 9 from buying different types for different guns over the years.

i've got a cheap uncle mike's holster i cut the clip off that i carry in my pocket.  it's a little bulky with the S&W j-frame, but not TOO bad.  with the appropriate shirt, I IWB carry with a Triton kydex Galco.  without an undershirt, it can be a bit irritating.  should have gone with a crossbreed/kingtuck style.  it sits at 3:30/4 o'clock and hides well, but i think leather would have been better.

Go buy amore subcompact pocket pistol that will fit in your coat or pants pocket and be done with it.   $240-$350.   It will be with you all the time, everywhere you go and is no more hassle than carrying a wallet.      The little Kel-Tec autos are cheap and surprisingly pretty darn accurate.   Great value.

I would hope you have it, or are suggesting a pocket holster here...

Depends for me, I have a Galco form shaped paddle for open carry, a custom leather holster for in the waist band and a Bull dog fabric that hold the gun and one extra magazine open carry for the woods as it does have a strap to keep me from loosing it. Good luck!

Hey, Indiana Jones wore a satchel  :chuckle:

I am stuck working on Capitol Hill in Seattle at the moment.  A guy could actually carry a purse like that and not get a second look.  I have seen much stranger things up there.  Very disturbing!  That is why I have a Glock 27 in a Galco King Tuck or Galco ankle holster.  I also NEVER can be found without my NAA 22 mag Mini Revolver in a KC Custom Leather horsehide pocket holster.
