pine ridge scope?

i just picked up a pine ridge scope from cabelas yesterday out of the used or damaged room there.

anyone have one? pros or cons?

it has really good clear glass for only paying $49 for it. and when i had it up against the nikon prostaff and leupold vxI and vxII the glass was just as clear and actually lot better then the vxI.

but good glass doesnt mean its durable. so that is what im curious about.

also what does a 50yds parellex mean? says it is set with a 50yd parellex from the factory?

Boy... don't know squat about em.  Hell, though $49, can't really complain.  Put it on a 22 worst case.

Explaining parallax would be kinda wordy... let's just say it you can adjust it to make your field of view clearer at different distances... especially at higher power settings.   Saying that it has a 50 yard factory set parallax seems like a funny vernacular to use.  Maybe that's a common distance for non adjustable scopes but it seem like it's pretty close.  I would assume scopes that don't have a parallax adjustment would be set further out. 

Is it considered a muzzle loader scope or a 22 scope?

its a muzzleloader/shotgun scope. i got it all figured out...

its a sweet little scope and i plan on getting a shotgun for next season so i can hunt a friends property in issaquah

hopefully it will be sighted in and ready for the late hunt. ill only be hunting cougars though and just along for the ride with the parents and gf while they try and fill thier tags.

the retical is a diamond shape with the crosshair inside the diamond. its very interested but its cool looking. it actually helps me keep the gun stable.

I have the one they make for the 17hmr and my concern is how well it will hold zero.
Has anyone ever had any trouble with that with cheaper scopes?
I haven't put it to the test yet.

Blew out the inner glass on one with a .338, exchanged it and similar thing happened, but crack and chipped the inside, one thing nice they did exchange it for my money back after that and bought a Leupold...  Even though their add stated would hold up to 50 cal, not hardly.  Keep it on low recoil and you'll probably have no problems...

mine so far has held up nicely. ive got it on a tikka t3 hunter in 270. the rifle is really light and recoil is very close to my uncles browning blr in 300win.

Well I went shooting yesterday and the 17hmr with the pine ridge 3-12x40 worked pretty good.
The eye relief seemed a little short and it is not the brightest scope but I was shooting great groups all day with it.
