WOW, that is epic!! My blood is pumping now, that camera looks sweet from the top of your helmet. It isn't as bumpy as I thought it would be, in fact I wonder if it would be more steady on your head than the handle bars?? Days like that in the snow riding are the best and don't happen very often. You have to try silent pass just north of radium some day, it's unbelievable. Thanks for the post, I am leaving work early now!! Question, have you tried the camera anywhere else besides your helmet??

Those little hip hits would be hard to tell if you didnt have the sled in front to watch him air out.

Trophy- Anywhere that sells GoPros should have the handlebar mount. I disagree with Smossy, the helmet mount works fine (as seen in this video) Mount it on the helmet butted up to the back of the visor. My favorite footage usually comes from a chase sled.

Thanks, now I just need the guys that I'm going with to buy a couple of them. I bet after they see the video they will have them next year! The more I think about it, it seems the head will act like a shock absorber better than the handle bars.

I have a lidcam that i wear on my helmet but i move my head around to much!!! I seen some other videos of people with gopros, attached to a pole or shovel on there backpack?  not to sure.  I was going to attach mine to the shovel handle strapped to the backpack next time i get to ride . It stays looking forward and catches all your movement really well.

I think it depends on the person and activity, it definitely seems smoother on that video but when we use his it's always choppy from walking/looking around. Especially in the time-lapse picture mode. He got the chest harness and it works great. I think if you're just overly aware of your helmet cam/and know to constantly face forward as best as possible - it'd be good.

It's pretty common. I think you'd just have to train yourself to use it and keep your head steady forward.

Video looks great, you are right there. If your not doing lots of looking around then sure it will work... The places I go though your never just looking straight ahead. Your head is a swivel and going back and forth, That why I use my chest cam these days. I like to record whats Infront of me.

Exactly, you and me both. To each they're own though, thats why Its called "personal" Preference! Goodluck to everyone that has one/gets one though, Theyre amazing cameras!

Thanks for your input smossy, I believe both applications will work fine. With walking I think your chest harness would would work just fine and I think with the snowmobile the helmet should work pretty good. That link you provided looks like it has great info, thanks again. I hope to post up some good vid of steep hill climbes!!

Definetly! Cant wait, Love to see fellow Gopro Videos. I have tons upon tons to add to my channel once I get a computer decent enough to edit some of them so they're not just hours long.

That vid was taken last Saturday, out side of Whistler B.C.  We were riding with Geoff Kyle.  I'm the one wearing the yellow/blue jacket.  Glad you guys liked the vid, I think it's a great vid too, but it just doesn't do the day or the conditions all the justice it deserves.  It was the most amazing day of riding I've ever had.  The snow conditions were perfect, and the weather was fantastic.  We burned 13+ gallons of gas each and litteraly coasted into the trailer completely exhausted at the end of the day.  EPIC!
