That vid was taken last Saturday, out side of Whistler B.C.  We were riding with Geoff Kyle.  I'm the one wearing the yellow/blue jacket.  Glad you guys liked the vid, I think it's a great vid too, but it just doesn't do the day or the conditions all the justice it deserves.  It was the most amazing day of riding I've ever had.  The snow conditions were perfect, and the weather was fantastic.  We burned 13+ gallons of gas each and litteraly coasted into the trailer completely exhausted at the end of the day.  EPIC!

You there for camp or just riding with him?

Looks like an epic day!!

Just a day of riding.  We are going back up there in a couple weeks to ride for two days with him.  Great guy and a ton of fun.

Awesome  That lake bed near the end of the video looked fun.

How you liking the new ride? Tooled around on one for a bit, still undecided.

yeah, that last area was awsome, and untracked...only problem was we were running out of gas and had to bail.....good problem to have though. :chuckle:  Love the XM, the best sled I've ridden.  Very nimble, great power and handles amazing in the woods.  Little spooky on the trails at speed, but that's not what it's designed for anyway.

Download cineform studio for gopro. It comes with editing software... not sure how it compairs to other software but its for gopro specificly and its freee. My computers a piece of crap so ive never done any editing myself, couldnt give you a walkthrough. Just use that software. Upload it to youtube, then post the direct url link right on to the page and it should auto imbed it :) hope that helps buddy

Check out the wasabi power spare batteries. Theyre rated 1400 mAh compaired to the gopros 1100 mAh and they hold a charge longer. You can pick up a two pack with wall/car charger on amazon for $20. Mine should show up tomorrow in the mail. If they do ill do some testing and let you know how it goes. Ive read nothing but good things about them though. Consider picking up a remote and wifi pack if you dont already have one. That way when you spot an animal and get ready you just use your remote to power/start recording without even touching your camera. They also have a nice attachment called the RAM that not many people know about these days. Its a complete 360 swivel ball attachment and allows you to spin the camera any direction with no adjustment. Cheers bro.

The gopro's battery do suck bad, I got 1 hour of use out of it before it went dead. I was just using it for video but I still would have thought it would have lasted longer. Please let me know how that other battery works, and that remote, will it work on the gopro2???? Also, another question, how do I get that beep to be quiet?? The last thing I need is for it to beep when I turn it on when an animal comes in. Thanks

Ill have to check with my guy about the remote for ya, should have an answer by later today.
For the sound AND the blinking record light, you just go into the settings "the little wrench looking thing" scroll through those settings untill you see "more" enter that subsections, then about 6 clicks over you will see what looks like a little sun labeled LED turn that off.. then click over one more time to the music note and also turn that off. Then click over once again and you will see a little circle thing with a line striked verticly through the top of it, set that to 60 or 120 secs. That way if your camera isnt being used or it turns on accidently in your bag/pocket it doesnt just sit there on standby all day untill its dead..

Also another quick little tip, if you get tired of scrolling through the menu settings looking for the exit. At any point you can just hold down the shutter button "the top one" for about 3 seconds and it will release you back to your chosen record mode. Saves alittle time when needing to get back to record quick.

In temps below 32 I'd say camera last 20 min.. Junk to me if that's it.. Also my camera is the 3 and I have the gopro app on my iPhone to control it.. U can only control cam if it's on. It has to be on standby to operate which means its burning up battery's

The wifi pack holds its own charge, once thats burned up it will take out of your gopro but the wifi pack can and has sat on standby for 6-8 hours. everyone should have the app tho its free. Ive recorded nonstop for 2 hours in 30-40 degree temps so dunno, maybe your battery is faulty. Id look into replacements. Find one with a higher mAh rating like wasabi power or smartree. Holds more power. Plus you can get a charger through duracell that charges on any usb unit to hold power, then u can plug it into your gopro if your on the go like hiking or hunting for backup power. Will give you about 50% charge unless you buy the powerhouse which is alittle bulkier but will give you maybe 2x full charges without a source. They have battery opperated chargers also but i dont recommend them. Just costs more money to replace batteries. I have backups, then backups for my backups.
