I will be buying different batterys for sure
Cool bro let me know how it goes, Also if you ever plan on doing recordings where Audio is somewhat of importance..
I highly recommend the Audio-Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone, Its about $18 and will make the audio quality from your camera 50x better (Its In stereo not mono so you'll still get sound from both speakers). Its a clip on style mic, crystal clear sound with less background noise, and its self powered with a 20-30 foot cord.

Hope they do something about the batt life in the future cause for hunting it just doesnt cut it
Check out the wasabi power spare batteries. Theyre rated 1400 mAh compaired to the gopros 1100 mAh and they hold a charge longer. You can pick up a two pack with wall/car charger on amazon for $20. Mine should show up tomorrow in the mail. If they do ill do some testing and let you know how it goes. Ive read nothing but good things about them though. Consider picking up a remote and wifi pack if you dont already have one. That way when you spot an animal and get ready you just use your remote to power/start recording without even touching your camera. They also have a nice attachment called the RAM that not many people know about these days. Its a complete 360 swivel ball attachment and allows you to spin the camera any direction with no adjustment. Cheers bro.
Update on this topic, the wasabi powers rated at 1400 mAh are extremely better than the stock gopro battery. The charge is about holds about an extra hour worth of record time and has absolutely no play while inside the camera. Ive read reviews of people having issues of the battery jiggeling around when moving and giving feedback from the internal mic. I have not had this issue and as far as right now the wasabis are my primary batteries. I only resort to my 3rd battery "the stock gopro 1100 battery" for extreme backup. They have worked great in my skeleton case even at temps below freezing.

Also the skeleton case is a great accessorie along with the usb car charger. It allows for unlimited recording time as far as power goes, your only limited by the size of your sd card. These accessories conjoined with a suction cup mount make for a great dash cam or something to just record your car trips.  Just mount, plug in your power source, maybe even your external mic, and start recording those memorable journeys in the vehicle with your family or friends.
